According to a report I have read, BSkyB’s Sky Arts channel has signed up for HBO's “In Treatment” and that the drama series will air starting October.

I’ve read about this, too. The series, which won the Golden Globe and the Emmy, will be aired every night for 30 minutes. Then a full repeat will be shown at 10p.m. on Sundays. Isn’t that great? Can’t wait!!!

In Treatment is a TV series whose theme focuses on psychotherapy. The show follows psychoanalyst Paul Weston (played by Gabriel Byrne) and captures sessions with his patients. In the second season, Paul moves to and rebuilds his practice in Brooklyn after a divorce from his wife. However he commutes back to Maryland every weekend to see his children and to go through his own sessions with Dr. Gina Toll.

“In Treatment” is a show that steps into the “tangled” mind of a guy who earns a living by counseling other people. I think this show is provocative and very realistic, in such a way that a lot of us actually rely on the perspectives and the advice of experts and specialists who have their own inner demons to fight against. It’s a reflection of real life and of its dynamics.
