| BSkyB and Channel 4 are reportedly in talks for a possible merger of their advertising sales teams. The merger is seen to result in millions of pounds in savings for both broadcasters. |

| this will put Sky in a better position to compete with ITV, on the other hand, C4 will surely benefit from the cost savings! ITV currently has 41% of the advertising market. |

| It does seem that sky is imitating the BBC on this one. If you remember C4 is also in similar talks with BBC... |

| Well, one thing's for sure, this won't be an easy plan to implement. I've already heard of a lot of schemes, including one that involves the merging of C4's digital channels with BBC Worldwide. I guess the complexity is what drove both C4 and the BBC away from the deal. |
