Default BskyB goes green

BSkyB has presented a green company for the future. The company, as you all know, is currently constructing a new studio in West London that will use a third less energy than its current facilities.

I agree. I like the way Sky is going green. They are using a new biomass system that will provide power for both heating and cooling systems at the new facility. They will also install wind turbines.

I hear that the new buildings will also have capability to harvest rainwater for non drinking use within the building. In fact, all their toilets will use rainwater.

Can you imagine Sky is spending GBP233 million for this?

Well, the savings are great. They are using 35% less energy to produce their programs. This facility will be open in 2011 too.

I hear that Sky is eschewing air conditioning for a natural ventilation system .
