Sky's HD guide's new EPG was finally released on Mar. 10. It offers picture in picture features that allows you to watch the channels while still browsing.

I specifically like the easier recording through their one touch feature. You just go to the TV listings and have it record for you. You can even record the every episode in the series through the series link.

I like the improved searching. The new EPG allows you to check out shows 7 days in advance!

I do hope they do something about their VOD selections. It's mediocre!

Speaking of the iPlayer, have you heard that the BBC will be launching a new version of its iPlayer by the end of this year. The new iPlayer will allow listeners to record their favourite programs no matter where it is broadcast.

that's a great move, having an online radio player for all broadcasters. I agree with what Tim Davie, BBC head of audio and music, said that we should be able to do with radio what we can do with TV now, meaning pause it during a live broadcast, record it and review the past seven days' programming...

I think it will be a narrower application of BBC's project Kangaroo, but at least it's something that the Competition Commission can't touch. Besides, unlike Kangaroo, the player will be available to ALL broadcasters, and not just those handpicked by BBC.

It definately took some getting used but I am starting to like it now. It will be a massive shock to all the upgrading customers
