Five HD will join Sky's roster of HD channels in July, becoming number 42 on Sky's HD lineup. Eight more and Sky will hit its target of 50 HD channels by December 2010.

This is surprising, given that Five refused to be on Freeview HD.

That's not surprising, given that Sky HD now has over 2 million subscribers. That exposure is more than what both Freeview and FreeSat could ever give to Five.

I do hope Five soon goes to Virgin Media, I hate it that Sky has to charge GBP28 every month for me to get HD content.
