Default Sky to take fees for iPhone app for people outside the country.

Sky may be imposing a fee on its Sky News iPhone app when the app goes international, which may be soon.

That's a great little app. It allows you to get headlines and videos from Sky News. What's more, they offered a place where you could upload your own content. Sort of like citizen journalism, where you can upload photos you took.

Well, if you find it good, then download it while it's still free!

Sky News' applet has been one of the more popular apps on itunes, with more than half a million downloads in the first week of August alone.

We've all be hearing Rupert Murdoch saying that he'd soon charge for online content. Maybe this is one of his plans.

Yup, Murdoch believes that offering free or cheap content would cannibalise operations. People should learn to pay for their news, which is not easy to produce.
