You know what, I'd like to be Rupert Murdoch if given a chance to be born again as somebody else

Who wouldn't like to be him? I mean he's a media mogul in the real sense of the word. He has TV shows in 5 continents, his empire has 175 newspapers which includes the best titles in the world. He has very prominent TV stations, Fox, sports channels and Sky. He has Myspace, record labels and publishing groups. He has about everything on media.

Murdoch sure has gone a long way from Australia. Back home, he owned a small paper which he used as a springboard for his domination of all media outfits he has now. The fact that he's been able to cross borders and eventually snag the New York Post and the New York Magazine, and then going to the UK with Sky, is very very admirable.

I have read somewhere that Murdoch uses his newspapers to gain political influence. He would write favorable editorials for political favor. With that he can establish relationships with national governments. Without these relationships, he wouldn't be able to get all that media outfits and become a mogul.

I could understand how politicians would want to get on Murdoch's good side.. Media can certainly influence how people think and react. It could make or break your career.

Well, even Barack Obama is rubbing shoulders with Murdoch, even with their well-publicised bad blood
