I saw this clip where Reggie Fils-Aime of Nintendo said that gamers do not need HD nor do they need a new console. This means that the rumor about Netflix HD coming to Wii is not true at all?

Hmmn... nintendo really needs to put their act together. If they do not dispel this thinking they will have a tough time competing against PS3 and Xbox360, both of which are now in HD.

True. Nintendo may need to revamp its research and development team.

Maybe they think that people are buying consoles just to play games? I can't believe this came from Nintendo.

LOL. The sad truth is, video consoles should work on being the center of entertainment. I have heard of consoles being used as streaming boxes, and there is talk about making consoles that could serve as set top boxes... and nintendo is going the other way! BACKWARDS!

I think this is the same interview where Fils-Aime said that they will only release a new console if everybody has a Wii. My goodness! True, Wii now number 26 million units around the world, but they sure have a long way to go if they want to wait for everybody to buy a Wii!
