Anyone who is selling a second hand sky box please watch out. Many buyers buy a second hand box and when they receive it they swap it with their faulty one and either say that it must have been damaged in transit or the box was faulty when they received it. They then request a replacement or a refund and many ebayers wanting to protect their records resolve the problem. The only way to get around this is to take down the box number and make a record of it against the ebayers name and if there is any problems get them to verify the box number before sending the box back. Once the box has been sent back check the number of the box using the menu and if the box number is correct then you know they are being truthful and you can resolve the problem (Do Not resolve anything until the box is back in your hands). If for any reason you have not taken the box number down get the ebayer to verify the box number anyway you may never hear from them again.
This scam has been used for many years but if you are careful you will not get caught.
