Britain's Got Talent's initial show beat a Doctor Who special in the ratings war over Easter. BGT herded 11.8 million viewers while Doctor Who only got 8.7 million

Simon Cowell packs them in. :)
ITV1 should capitalize on BGT's popularity. Imagine 11.8 million pairs of eyeballs is nothing to scoff at, and ITV could use that to earn some more advertising money that it needs.

Hmmmn... The first show for last year's season only got 8.8 million viewers, that's a huge jump for BGT!

11.8 million plus 8.7 million... that's 20.5 million viewers for the two shows alone. It just shows that many people are staying in now than before :)

I agree, you have to add 6.1 million people who watched Casualty and 5.3 million who watched Robin Hood at the same time. that's 11.4 million plus 20.5 million. You do the math :)

hehehe, it's 31.9 million for the top four most watched shows!
