Data that is stored on your Sky hard drive is much like your home PC. This Data can sometimes become fragmented, especially as you constantly add and delete data when recording your favourite programs. Defragmentation reorganizes the files on file and optimizes your hard drive for better performance. This process should not affect any of your recorded programs or settings.
To access this feature follow the instructions below
Using your Sky remote
1. Press the service button
2. Follow this by pressing 4 (System setup option)
3. Once in System setup using your remote control press 0 then 1 followed by pressing the select button.
You should now have access to the installation menu
4. Once in the Installers setup menu go down to Sky + planner rebuild (or press & 7) followed by select.
This should now activate the defragmentation process. Once completed leave the box on standby for 10 minutes, this is important to allow the system to complete the process.
If your box does not let you access this feature you may need to download the latest software
