Default Star Wars in 3D

George Lucas is said to be planning to have all Star Wars film converted into 3D. Lucas is said to be considering 3D after watching Avatar and being wowed by it.

I think Star Wars would be the perfect movie to convert into 3D, I think the effects alone would make an interesting 3D film.

Lucas actually said that they have been looking at the technology for a long time, and now with Avatar as the final proof, he knows that the time has come for Star Wars to be seen in 3D.

Man! R2D2 in 3D. I am really expecting to be blown away by the scene where we see Princess Leia giving a holographic message to Luke Skywalker.

I think that converting it in 3D would generate so much interest that it would really cement Star Wars as a blockbuster. Who knows it might even top Avatar with its combined sales?
